With a name worthy of great French cuisine, our packaging is comparable to the aromas of great French wines so well kept in their barrels.
Following this concept, you might recognize the BeauSoleil oysters by their wooden packaging, handmade using only natural materials.
With the natural materials concept, beautiful wooden boxes are produced using pieces of wood recovered from processing plants. Wood purchased includes all misshapen, twisted or non standard compliant boards. This way, it is possible to reuse products considered unusable and give them a new vocation. Meanwhile, baskets used for the French Kiss oysters come from local vendors supplying apple producers.
Oysters packaged with care
Packaged one by one, each oyster is boxed manually with its concavity facing down: a small detail allowing the liquid to remain inside the oyster. Thereby, when they leave our facilities, BeauSoleil oysters will be at their best for the longest time possible.
Remember that the oyster, as well as other molluscs, is a living organism requiring to be maintained in specific conditions to prevent its deterioration. They should therefore be allowed to breathe without packaging: no bag or plastic wrap. Thus, storage in a cool place like a refrigerator (between 0 and 4°C or 32 to 39°F) is an ideal place, ensuring they are covered with a damp cloth.
